I have always loved the beautiful Snowy Owl. They are native to the USA and are know for their solitary and territorial nature. Snowy owls are fiercely protective of their nests during breeding season and can be quite aggressive towards intruders, even larger animals like wolves. Unlike many owl species, they are active during the day, particularly in summer, and often hunt at dawn and dusk. This piece was created with acrylic paint on a gallery wrapped canvas with painted sides that carry over the theme of the flag.
